Today we will:

• Work in groups to identify variables and controls
• Complete our Writing Monday that we started last week.  Last week you should have completed the first four questions, today you will complete the essay and turn the entire assignment in.  If you do not complete the essay part of the assignment (or don't have the questions done) it is homework tonight and due by the beginning of class tomorrow.

• Complete our Rocks as Clocks notes on relative and absolute dating
• Begin our Geologic Timeline

• Finish the "Dot Lab" - graphing and conclusion (you will have 30 minutes to do this and whatever is not finished is homework)
• Complete and turn in the Geological Time Preassessment

• Watch the core talk video
• Finish the "Dot Lab" data collection - data and graphing
• If time allows we will write the Dot Lab conclusion, if not, it is not homework, we will complete the lab tomorrow.

• Finish our kindness rocks and put them outside
• Begin our first Writing like a scientist
• If time allows we will begin our first lab - "Dot Lab"

• 6th and 7th hour will make pinhole viewers for the eclipse on Monday

• Make sure we can log on to our computers
• Sign up in google classroom for science
• Have a pasta race
• Get to know each other
